GTA V Review

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto is one of the best received and most controversial video game series of all time. GTA V is no exception. In the game you play as three ‘protagonists': Michael- the aging ex-robber; Trevor- the psychotic drug-lord and Franklin- a young gang-member who wants to make a name for himself. Each character has their own distinct personality and a unique ‘power’. Every character is memorable and made me laugh.

The gunplay is excellent and takes inspiration from another fantastic Rockstar game, Max Payne 3. Combat is satisfying and fun. The weapons are varied and enemies are intelligent. You will find yourself dying, possibly, multiple times, as the AI will flank you and kill you. As well as fantastic missions and gunplay, the open world is fantastic. It is HUGE and varied. After months of owning the game, I still do not know where everything is.

The vehicles are very fun to use- my personal favorite being the Adder (Bugatti Veyron). There are: cars; planes; helicopters; motorbikes; scooters; speedboats and many more. There are also lots of Easter Eggs in the game. If you go to the edge of the map, instead of meeting an ‘invisible wall’, your vehicle will crash and a shark will come and try to eat you- much like Jaws!!!!!

So, overall I really recommend this game. Its great fun (especially the heists!) and comes with almost endless amounts of content and a fantastic, I might add, MMO Grand Theft Auto Online.

My Score: 9.5
